One is running fine the other will some times not start up and will go to a safe mode and will also ask if I want windows to repair itself.
It seems it repairs itself and of course we loose some stuff that we have loaded but a day later it does it again.

Should I just return it and get another one ?
    Thanks

Is it from a retail store where they have stock? If so, I would. If it doesn't work out of the box and you can exchange it for one that does, then save yourself the hassle of trying to fix it.

Try formatting the hard drive on the one that is acting up and reinstalling Windows. That should take care of any problems as it sounds like you are just having a problem caused by the Windows installation itself. If that doesn't work, then return the computer and get another one.

^ Yes, you can do that. Make sure you back up any personal data before you format.

I was just cautioning you; not everyone knows that reinstalling Windows actually wipes the disk.

Just as long as both of the laptops are the exact same model, you shouldn't have to worry about incompatibilities.

If you're within the exchange period I would do so.
