I just received my DV7 today and i am blown away with the fit and finish of these DV7, however I am a bit disappointed with the on chip GPU. For reference my desktop PC has an A8-3870K.

First thing I did was download K10stat and set the FID to 21 and DID to 1 for 2.467ghz @ 1.1v. Windows 7 cpu score went from 6.6 to 7.1, but my 3dmark06 score didnt seem to change (5577)

My last two laptops were a lot faster (gateway NV53 with AMD X920 scored 8892 with 5650m, and my gateway FX 7815u core 2 duo (overclocked almost reached 12,000) I may have to swap this A6-3400 for an A8-3500 at some point, i havent tried games yet...

Does my score seem normal for an overclocked A6-3400? I almost bought another Gateway FX for $300ish but figured it was getting obsolete...

Your Dv7 has the 6520G right ? The 5650m is better than the 6520g so that explains the lower score

Yeah thats correct, i didnt expect it to beat the 5650M, but i thought it would be a little closer. Just curious what folks are getting with their A6-3400 or even A8-3500m. Ive been searching for a6-3400 results and havent seen anything yet.

It plays world of warcraft 3.3.5 really well. 1600x900 settings on ultra 30-45FPS which is acceptable to me, i probably move some of the settings down to high to get FPS closer to 60 though.
