Little story.
In october I bought me a 15.4inch Compaq v6110us. It was 600$bucks but had everything I needed, ie: 100gb drive, 1gig ram*I added 512 of that*, a video card that handled the only game i played, and the lightscribe. That laptop to me was awesome value, it felt very solid, a pretty decent keyboard, didnt get to hot, all in all built quite well for the price. But since I only had basic warrenties and such not accidental. this past friday I had a bad reaction to some prescribed pills for a bad sinus infection and it made me very delusional, and me and my wife got in a fight next thing I know I am watching me pick my laptop up and smash it on the table, very frightning not be able to stop yourself and watching almost out of body. but all in all not many laptops could ever take a smash like that. and well it pretty much dead as a doornail. So I had a credit card i was using for xmas and had some money left over and decided what the hell i need a laptop for my work. and that same laptop and the hp version both was around 800+this time. But I saw at the local CompUSA they had the v9000 with the same nvidia 6150, yea i know its low end but it plays EQ2 just fine, 100gig hardrive, gig of ram*which i swapped and made 1.5 gigs, and had other little features like the firewire port which i needed to rip some mini dv's
this this is huge. but not really uncomfertable to be on a lap its very balanced..
the numpad i got to get used to because not used to that on a notebook
Its been running quiet and hasnt got hot. though I having 3+ PC normally running at once bout any notebook is quiet.
Hopefully this week get to run some test on it. trying to figure out if I can get my old hardrive from the other notebook running so i can have that extra 100gigs. currently its makes a clicking sound and when in this notebook it causes it to not to boot.
So all in all I am enjoying this new monster notebook..
/cheers
