    Just got my dv5t, confused what to do first? Clean install..

    I'm trying to clean vista install, and i downloaded vlite on the dv5t, but i can't use it. It said install the WIM Filter, so i did, and now i'm confused. Also, when i'm i supposed to make a recovery disk?

    Make the recovery disc right now before you uninstall anything. Otherwise, you'll be upset when you can't get your laptop working from a mistake you might make.

    To burn recovery disk, just go to Computer - > HP_Recovery -> Recovery and click Burn right? Is it supposed to be fast? It only took like 30 seconds. And how does it work? When i open the file it just says

    Recovery Partition. Warning! This area of your hard drive (or partition) contains files used for your PC Recovery. Do not delete or alter these files. Any change to this partition could prevent any recovery later.

    30 seconds is way too fast. mine took almost an hour between all three dvds. You did it wrong. There is a little paper in the folder that came with the pc that explains how to do it. It should take 3 dvds or 17 cds.
