    I just ordered a dv2000t. I want to purchase ram a 1gb stick. What do I exactly need ? Is it DDR2 667 (PC5300) ?

    Yes...make sure it's notebook RAM as well. They're shorter than desktop ram sticks. I'd also stick with one of the quaity brands (G.Skill, Crucial, Corsair, Patriot, etc).

    May I ask, how much RAM came with your computer?

    Most of the time, these laptops come with both memory slots filled. So if you're unaware, you'll lose a little bit of memory by having to swap out one of them. Just keep that in mind.

    It has one dimm. So the other slot is empty. Thanks for the help
