    Good alternative, theres the fairly comparable 1420 as well.

    1420 = unprofessional dell sales/support reps (don't know their products), sub-par build quality, no lightscribe, no fingerprint scanner, no HDMI, bulky and heavy, and I don't fancy the look.

    I'm probably going to order a DV2500t with the following specs:

    T7500
    2GB Ram
    8400M GS
    160GB HDD
    High Capacity Battery, etc

    However, thanks to a coupon, it's only going to cost me $1000. (w/o tax) After MUCH comparison, HP really does have great prices for medium-end laptops. I have a zv6000 atm but it's too large and it's half-dead... so it's time for a replacement :)

    Quick question: What speed is the ram? I'm guessing it's 533mhz... Also, are both sticks external or is there one external and one internal module? Those internal ones are a #$%^ to get to...
