    Hey all...

I already have an Acer Aspire One with a 160gb hard drive, but could not pass up the sub-300 buck deal for a refurb HP Mini 1030NR through Buy.com (actually 279.99 minus a 10 buck coupon I had).

I figured I would use the HP for travelling because the SSD can take a beating better than a standard HD.

My main uses will be, of course, Internet, email, and, watching movies and listening to music on an external portable while flying, for example. I like the widescreen of this model.

I have never had a notebook with an SD, though. Will my HP Mini be able to simply play the content of the external, no problem, using one of the two USBs? I have not yet received the HP, but wanted to see if there were any problems or glitches in using the external portable with an SD-based computer.

I know...stupid question...but when playing with the HP Mini at Best Buy, I noticed there was no icon for "MY COMPUTER," and have heard from others that an SD can be a little different to work with. They could be wrong, but I figured I would come to the experts.

    Thanks.
