    I would like to know if my new laptop is better than my 2 years old desktop. or is it worse?


    Dell Dimension 8250:

    Processor: Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 2.40GHz
    Memory: 512MB RAM
    Graphic Card: NVIDIA GeForce4 MX 420
    Hard Drive: 120 GB 7200 RPM
    DVD/CDROM

    ZV6000:

    Processor: AMD Athlon(TM) 64 3200+ (2.0GHz/512KB L2 Cache)
    Memeory: 512MB RAM (gonna add another 512MB)
    Graphic Card: 128MB ATI RADEON(R) XPRESS 200M w/Hypermemory
    Hard Drive: 60 GB 5400 RPM
    LightScribe 8x DVD+/-RW & CD-RW Combo Drive


    maybe its hard to compare...but how about which processor and graphic card is better? thanks.

    Looks to me that your laptop kills your desktop in every area except hard drive.

    If you put in the best options into this machine, the zv6000 will be a great desktop replacement. Plus the screen sits high so you're not dealing with as much neck pain as you are with other laptops.
