Hey all... I have a dv8000t, and I absolutely love it. One thing kinda bugs me though. On ac (or battery for that matter), if I don't use the computer for a while, (it goes into standby) my wireless will disconnect and the light will go out. I get disconnected from AIM, i've missed updates, and i have to reconnect my bluetooth mouse. needless to say its a pain. Is there any way to make sure the wireless stays on even if the computer is in standby?

No. The solution is to fix your Control Panel | Power Options so the system Never automatically goes into standby.

oh well, figured it was worth a shot... thanks. I guess if its gonna be plugged in it really doesn't matter if it goes into standby

Standbye Just sends components into shutdown mode while keeping the processer going. There is no way to edit what components go into shutdown mode or the ones that dont.
