Hello,
I bought this Kensington lock:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005NCO2EA?keywords=kensington&qid=1458471068&ref_=sr_1_1&sr=8-1
But it just doesn't fit my Envy 13 slot. It works on my other laptops, but not on the Envy. I also tried another lock, and it doesn't fit either.
Anyone else had this experience? Is there something I can do (like reducing the thickness of the insert, or whatsoever)?

Better yet a grinding wheel if you have access to one -
Thanks for your answer!
I have tools I can use, so that wouldn't be a problem.
The only problem is that I don't really know if it should be the length or the thickness what I should grind. -
I have the same machine, so kind of in the same boat. -
Not really.
Do you have the same problem, then? I wasn't sure if it's a general problem of this device, or a defect on mine. -
Hello and sorry for my english. I had the same Problems with my envy. I now own three kinds of Kensingtons and the third one fits. Ist a Hama Lock, i bought it in Germany and it has one small Nose in the middle, witch fits in the lock, but only if ist faced to the bottom. ist called hama Notebook Combination Lock "secure" https://de.hama.com/i/00039725/hama-notebookschloss-mit-zahlenkombination-secure?bySuggest=039725

I've tried several kensington locks, but I still can't find any that works properly.
The better I got was one of the cheapest, that it got locked but it was easy to remove (even locked) just moving it around and twisting it.
How are they designing those kensington slots? Aren't they standard? Are they even testing them?
It's quite irritating that the laptop has a slot that it's totally useless.
