    hi

i mean F10 to do this steps

To do that please follow the steps below

    1. Shutdown the PC

    2. Press the Power button and keep tapping F10

    3. You will get to the BIOS screen

    4. Navigate to "System Configuration"

    5. Click on Boot Options

    6. In UEFI Boot order please move the "USB Diskette" option to topmost in the list

    7. Press F10 and save changes and Exit

    8. Let the Unit restart and if the USB is plugged in it should boot from the USB automatically without any user intervention

Did you contact HP support first since this is their computer? For what your asking and not able to do should be directed to them first.

Use F9 to get to the boot menu. If you try to boot from a UEFI USB drive you might have to choose which file to boot from, IIRC.

The reason you are being asked what it is you want to do and boot is it may not be possible. as an example if you are trying to boot a Windows 7 bootable device you may have issues with the UEFI bios. You may not like or understand some techies questions but there usually is a reason. So I would suggest you answer them or understand when they refuse to answer you. This especially as there are privacy and security issue with what you are trying to do.

Have a recent model HP to tinker with atm; it's Esc or Volume Down on that model. Quirky behaviour is that Escape also triggers leaving the bios menu forthwith, so you have to hit it only once and at the precise second (or find the volume down key).

Moved the thread, btw. Booting into the bios is vendor-specific, not OS-specific.

    hi

    this is from HP support

What I've found using a new HP laptop is pressing the Esc key repeatedly while booting presents an HP Startup Up menu -- and from there, I can select the Boot options menu to select the bootable USB stick plugged into the PC.

    Good Luck

    So

i do what they said but when i choose the file from the usb didn't work

at the same time am use the same usb on other laptop and its working ..

    where is the problem?
