Ok, so I have the new, or a new, HP dv7-1240us. THE KEYBOARD COLOR SUCKS!! I cannot see the letters or numbers due to the reflectivity of the keys and poor choice of label color. Is there a way to replace this, well I know there is, I need to know where and how to get a hold of a new keyboard assembly for an Onyx colored laptop. Somebody shoulda laid off the wacky weed when coming up with this color scheme for the keyboard. HELP!!

Yup. The keyboard is easy to replace. It'll cost you $120 though.

the HP part number is 483275-001
you can shop around but that's the cheapest i could find.
I think you should just learn to type properly, I've worn all of the words off of most of my letter and number keys on my desktop and I can type fine. It's really not worth $120 to deal with some glare. -
Just enter that part number in an ebay search and youll find one for about $25.00. I just changed mine and what a difference. Swap was straight forward once I found the screw behind the DVD/CD.
