Message that Keyboard Filter driver will not function is obtained during compatibility check during install of Windows 7.

How can I correct this? Do not want to install 7 and then have a keyboard problem.

dv5z cto1100 running Vista Home Premium x64 is current OS

attempting to upgrade install to Windows 7 Ultimate x64 Full *I'll do a clean install at later date*

Anyone have a fix for this? Is it even a problem?
I searched for an answer here and on google and while I found that others have the same issue with HP/Compaq notebooks, I did not find a solution.

Do the drivers for the dv5t work on the dv5z? HP has more complete list of drivers for 7 for the dv5t.

Those compatibility test results need to be taken with a grain of salt sometimes. A few months ago (before windows 7 was officially launched) I did a upgrade from vista business to windows 7 and it worked beautifully. I have recently done a clean install of windows 7, and I can guarantee you will not see any issues with keyboard filter drivers.

I did a clean install yesterday of Win 7 from my upgrade disc, and I got the same error message. I went ahead with the install, and I haven't had a problem so far. I couldn't find any info on the error message.

Did you flash in the latest BIOS before attempting the upgrade? That's the only thing I can think of. I saw no such warning message when I upgraded my very similar dv4z.
