    Keyboard Light LED Issue

    Hello,
    I have been using my Envy for the past a month but 2 days ago, an Issue occured on my Keyboard LED half of the lights are off.
    something it suddenly goes on but I dunno what trigger that thing.

    Anyone countered this issue or knows about it :/ ?

    It's not that biggy but its kinda frustrating and sad thing to see on your new laptop ; ;

    sounds like the connection is either loose or shorting out for the led cable.

    hopefully it's just loose.

    if you want you can try taking the keyboard apart and unplugging and replugging the led cable.


    Be careful not to rip the cable or sever it or something

    c02280351.pdf is the service manual.

    page 56/64 is where the keyboard removal info starts. It links you back to a couple other steps you have to do first.


    Again be very very careful because the LED cable can tear pretty easily if you don't watch out.


    doing this assumes you're comfortable with taking the computer apart and possibly voiding the warranty.

    otherwise send it back to hp to get it replaced/fixed/whatever.

    On a similar note, the lights on my Envy 14 Beats Edition aren't uniform acros the entire keyboard. They're noticeably less bright on the right-hand side of the keyboard than on the left.

    I will think about it for a while... I'm not that good when it comes to hardware things and I don't want to screw things up this early. but sure I willl keep this salutation on mind

    now that you mention it .... i kinda see a fade of light on the left side of the keyboard but very weak
