    Could anybody tell me where are the < and > keys on a HP laptop keyboard? And the horisontal line |?

    The computer is a HP Pavilion dv6000

    You will have to use the Shift key to activate the <,> or | keys.

    They are right next to the M key. <<<>>> || horizontal line is on top of the enter key.

    Thank you but my laptop has some stickers for the ; and : keys on those so I guess I'm just going to have to continue the copy & paste method.

    Is your keyboard/system a non-English(US) version? If so, then the location of the <,>,| might differ compared to the US English keyboard.
