Hi! its my first time posting here and i need help. I just received my HP L2000 with a turion ML37. i was just wondering, isnt this processor supposed to be 2.0? when i check on properties on my computer it says 797 Mhz, when i go to control panel, performance and maintenance it says 1.6Ghz. So what is it really?

It throttles up to 2GHz and down to 800MHz to keep the power consumption and heat low.

Yeah, if you keep the information window opened, and you start to run an application, you will see it at 2Ghz, if it is pluged in, depending on your power consumption options. But it undervolts the processor when there's no need to use at a higher speed to save battery.

Download CPUz to check your system's hardware. Great tool.
