    Hi all,

I've been in heaven with my new DV6TSE, until today when I opened it and saw a big crack across the screen.

I'm starting school soon and can't afford the time it takes for shipping back and forth (not to mention the probability that HP won't replace it.)

I've found some screens on ebay, does this one work for the Select Edition? It has the same resolution and size - does the DV6TSE use a 40-pin data connector and LED backlight?

NEW HP Pavilion DV6 DV6T 15.6" LED LAPTOP SCREEN - eBay (item 180448366942 end time Aug-20-10 00:35:28 PDT)

Also, would I lose the webcam and microphone functionality?

    Thanks guys!

WebCam / Mic Functionality. Depends on how the cables are setup. some HP's have the mic/cam in its own cable or they have it integrated into one cable plugging into the motherboard.

If you order a direct replacement (the ebay one), your computer should work fine. Another thing you may be able to do is go to HP PartSurfer look up your p/n or product number and find the part number for the DV6TSE screen.
