I have a presario c300 laptop. half the screen is white/black. I hooked up to my desktop and it shows the full display from the laptop onto the monitor. Would this mean that the LCD then has the issue?

    Thanks for any help!

If the notebook's LCD panel never shows the correct display, but an external monitor does, then yes, the notebook's LCD panel is bad.

Thank you. Do you think it could be the connection, or most likely the lcd itself?
