I bought a dv7t back in August/Sept with the 17" Infinity BrightView Display. I ordered a dv4t last week with the LED display.

The LED display on the dv4t is the most stunning display i've ever seen on a laptop. It's so bright, the pictures look absolutely gorgeous and it makes me sooo pi$$ed that they didnt offer the LED option on the dv7t!

the $100 LED option is the most valuable option that you can get for that model.

I am going to call HP and see what they can do - if anything. I am going to ask if they are going to have a LED option for the dv7t's and if so, what they can do about mine.

I have a lenovo x200s at work - with an LED screen too. but I feel that the HP led screen is so much brighter without losing much of the color. the lenovo x200s is really bright but the colors are faded.

anyway, just a rant. the led screen is like having a real lcd monitor like desktops have - it's really that bright and crisp. it's absolutely stunning. pictures look so different on it. im upset that the $1300 dv4t i have has a better screen than my $2300 dv7t.... the dv7t screen isn't bad at all either but when compared with the led screen, there is no comparison to be made - the dv4t wins hands down.

    =/
