    Hi, everyone.

I've had a HP dv2000 with the lithium battery that fits in the back (standard, I think, not the ones that stick out) for almost a year.

For some reason, if I unplug the adapter after fully charging to 100%, it dies within a few minutes from 100 to 90, then like 5%...it used to last around 2.5 hours before.

But when it's not charged to 100% and somewhere in between like 25%, battery life seems to be accurate.

 So what is going on? I appreciate your help.

Most likely some cells in the battery are now defective. I would try to get HP to replace soon it as batteries only have a 1-Year warranty I believe.
