    Hello,

    I have a laptop Comapq Presario CQ61 408 TX

While using, my laptop display gets turn off automatically. I "googled" for the solution. Some experts say its "LCD inverter" problem. I opened my laptop to note down "LCD inverter" model number. But I wasn't able to find "LCD inverter" bellow keyboard or bellow monitor.

    My questions are,

    1) Is it really the "LCD inverter" problem or may something different?
    2) In my laptop model, Does it contain "LCD inverter" or not? (I guess some laptop don't have lcd inverter?)
    3) If LCD inverter is there in my laptop, Do I need to open the laptop more to find "LCD inverter"?

Please help me, I can't find the solution for my laptop on internet.

    Regards,
    Ankur

Those laptops with LED backlighting do not have inverters.
Inverter is the part that converts 12V from the battery up to be used by CCFL backlight.

Look for service manual for your laptop, if you find one the part will be listed there. The other option is to take the screen apart and look for the part number yourself :) (and obviously if it's missing you have LED screen then)
