Very nice. You should have fun with that!
-
yeah!congt.,have fun!

Looks like a nice config, but when you get it pay attention to how you like the resolution. Remember, you get 2 weeks from when you receive the laptop to return it for any reason and get all your money back (yes, even if you open it and use it). I always like to tell people to pay attention to the resolution if they got the 1440x900, because sometimes people end up regretting that they got the smaller resolution.

Looks like a good rig. Have fun with it just like I have been for a month or so!!
-
I second Envision and found myself in the exact situation he's talking about. You and I have the exact same system except I ended up getting the higher res screen and it's been a better choice for what I use my laptop for.
If you ordered from HPShopping, you have 21 days unless they've changed something in the last month and a half since I ordered my system. -
very nice ! but like others have mentioned , with 17"screen higher res might be something to look into
-
I actually just received the exact same config this morning...
I'm doing all the updates now...
So far I love everything about it besides that the touchpad on the laptop seems like they made it for left handed people or something...
Either way I'm never going to use it anyways...
I'm looking for a good driver right now for the graphics card, I'll let you know if I find anything =P -
congratulations! tahts a cool setup!

2.5ghz, very sweet. Have fun with it! =]

well, I've had 1440x900 before and I liked it. Although it was on a 14". I do plan to game so do you think I should call them and revise my order? Thanks
-
Good choice, I love HP notebooks!
btw, most of the screens I've seen on them are really nice. -
For gaming, the resolution you chose is perfect. You don't want it any higher. It will just make the games run slower. Higher resolutions are good if your profession involves programming, photography, or web design and need multiple window frames visible at a time.

I game on my 1680x1050 and things run fine (for me) but I don't play any games that require a lot of fps like crysis. I do spend a majority of my computer time using multiple windows of wordpad, firefox, and for video and photo editing so that works best for me.
Don't worry about the screen res right now. I could've lived with the 1440x900 just fine but I had to send it back for another unrelated issue with the LCD so I took a chance and got the 1680x1050 on the replacement.
ETA: BTW, dont' second-guess yourself on the screen res and I hope my post didn't make you do that! Just be excited about your computer that's coming. The games I play looked great on the 17" 1440x900 I had so enjoy! -
yeah, I just kept it, its good for me I think. Thanks for your opinion.
-
No problem and 1440x900 is a great res too. Like I said, I would've kept mine had I not had to return it for another unrelated issue anyway.
Enjoy! -
