Anyone know of a really, really good laptop cooler that comfortably works with the HDX16 or similar sized laptop that actually works well in your lap and isn't a cheap piece of junk?

I'm almost tempted to go buy some sheets of aluminum and build one myself that has a "pocket" for the extended battery that sticks out the bottom.

I've looked on newegg and other sites but i'm really nto sure what to buy, anyone have any suggestions along with any pro's and cons?

I recommend the NZX Cryo LX, or possibly the Enermax Aeolus CP001.

I've kind of been leaning towards the NZXT Cryo because it looks like it would work better in the lap because of how the fans are inside a little cove on the bottom. Have you used it yourself?

Does it get hot to the point of needing a cooler?

For regular web surfing it's fine in my lap, it gets warm but not hot. It gets uncomfortably hot while playing a game though. It doesn't lock up or shut down or anything but it's definately not comfortable to play a game on my lap with.

How do you game on your lap? I always need a mouse :p MMO?

I have the Zalman NC2000, it's designed for the desk, but you could put it on your lap I suppose. It's not terribly uncomfortable, but a bit large. It's about an inch wider and 4 inches longer than the HDX's footprint. The fans work fine in your lap, if you cough, spread your legs (like a man!)
