    Hi all i need a bit of help as trying to find out whats going on with my old lappy got a HP Pavillion DV8000 , been running fine until got blank screen can just see the picture and sometimes it will come up like normal but not very often,also if i press and let it go the display swith it will come up for a split second so any idea whats going on thanks. :cool:

    Most probably busted inverter. Replacement is easy and part is cheap.

    looks like the screens working now as long as i run it on battery as when i plug the mains in the screen goes blank any ideas on this. :cool:
