Over the last few days, my laptop has begun to lag when I play games or use Google Chrome, or any other program for that matter. I do not know what is causing the lag.

Last weekend, I opened my laptop lid and I could hear like some sort of loud monotone "buzzing" sound coming from the fan. I wasn't sure what it was, and after about 10-15 minutes it became quiet. The last few days, I've been experiencing FPS issues in games and I have never had this problem before. Usually able to play at 60, it has dropped to 10-20 when many effects are on the screen. I've tried updating my Graphics drivers to no avail. Now, the brightness on my laptop doesn't change. The keys on the top of the keyboard are not working, and changing my brightness through the power settings also does nothing.

I have also noticed my laptop is now making very little noise compared to before. It usually could hear the fan going pretty well, but now I barely hear it.

I have no idea what brought this problem on, does anyone know what to do?

    Thanks

i've also noticed that my fan speed is at 30%... idk if that was what it was before or if this changed it.

JUST noiced something else... upon switching to the Intel built-in GPU i was able to change brightness, but i am NOT able to change brightness when under the AMD gpu

I left my laptop off today, and when I turned it on i got a message saying my cooling fan is not working properly. not sure what to do

I downloaded Speed Fan and it shows my GPU fan running at 0 RPM. That could be the problem.
