laptop will not charge Operates fine with a charged battery I have two G72s I can take the battery and charger off the one that will not charge and charge it on the other laptop so I know the battery and charger are ok if you take the battery out and just use the charger it will not power up the light flickers in the power button

Is the power socket loose, it might be faulty.

The DC pin on your laptop is bent/broken/loose. Look at where your g72s power adapter plugs in on your laptop. Get a paper clip, bend it out to make a long paper clip and slightly push its tip on the pin inside your laptop. If the pin moves chances are either the DC pin needs to be soldered down or needs to be replaced. The part is usually cheap around $10 but the labor can cost more than $50.
