This forum is a great resource of quality information. But it does no good if HP doesn't hear about your concerns.

Perhaps your concerns will prompt HP's engineers to find a simple solution to reduce the heat generated on the left-side of the touchpad.

I'm sorry, but their online chat system is manned with probably the most unknowledgable people. I recently had a concern regarding a discrepency in the specs of my unit. The support rep didn't even know the difference between a DVDR and DVDRW media. He kept me on the line for over an hour going in circles. He then kept ending the chat indicating that the problem was resolved. I finally gave up as I would have been there for another hour if I didn't.
But I do agree that all problems must be documented with HP so that issues can be tracked and escalated. This is the only way HP will know of the specific on-going issues.
