Hey all! I recently got myself HP DV6000 with Vista installed and since i never owned a lap top this slow downs are annoying. So when i'm browsing the web lets say i visit a link with alot of graphics, that causes increase in core temperature and fans to turn on for a few secons. During that procdess laptop doesnt respond, and freezes for a second or two.
Not that comfortable i would say when navigating fast through pages with heavy graphics and alot of content. Is that normal at all? Or can i do something about it? Well i lifted the back of laptop to increase airflow.

i noticed that mainly on facebook, in which the site will slow down, and the fans will speed up, but not really on any other sites, unless it has a lot flash

When you say it freezes, do you mean just the web browser stops responding, or does everything stop? For example, does the mouse pointer stop moving?

i think just the browser freezes, i didnt try doing something else at that moment, mouse still moves so it's not fully frozen i guess. Maybe swiching to firefox will eliminate the problem? plus i;m more used to that browser rather than IE :)

increase cpu load = fan turns on = application being non responsive.

If it's just the browser, then it's probably not a problem with the computer itself. I actually envy you, I'm running an old Mozilla on a P3-600 right now and it hangs for 10 seconds sometimes on pages with complicated CSS. :)
