Multiple things are causing your laptop to wake from sleep. Right click my computer, properties, device manager, and check your mouse, wireless and nic cards. Example is I go to network adapters, right click on Marvell Yukon and go to properties. The power management tab has a box that says "Allow this device to wake the computer." I uncheck and it sleeps just fine. Check each of your devices, some have power management and some don't and make sure that none of them except for you keyboard allow to wake from sleep. Reason for this is I use my keyboard space bar to wake from sleep. Hope this helps.

Your tag say that you are running XP MCE, do you have MCE set to download your Guide Data?
