    Laptops shipping from CN or US?

    I called up Costco and they told me the est. ship date of my dv6500t was 7/2. But they failed to tell me if it was coming from China or the US, and when I asked them, they just told me it was shipping on July 2nd again. LOL

    I see all these threads about "____ coming from China!", etc. I know the new dvx500t's were released in Shanghai, but does that mean they are all being shipped from China?

    (I am trying to figure out when it might arrive since I'm going on vacation soon and don't want my laptop frying outside in the 110+ Las Vegas sun.)

    All HP/Compaq consumer laptops are built in China. It doesnt matter where you buy it from they all are built/shipped from China.

    However if you bought it from a store then maybe the laptop is already in the US unless it is a customized one?

    yup if all customized ones came from china then yours will have to as well, maybe u need to find out how long itll take and if u can get it shipped to a friend for safe keeping til u get back
