    Launching WMC using Remote Control. dv2500t

    Hello,
    Till some time ago, I used to be able to launch the windows media center (Vista) as well as Quickplay using the little remote with my laptop (dv2500t). For some reason I cannot do this anymore. Once launched through the start menu, the remote works fine in controlling the elements within WMC (Up, down, Volume control, mute, play stop etc). But I cannot use the buttons that launch the applications. They don't seem to do anything. Is there a way that I can re-assign the buttons to launch WMC and Quickplay. I tried re-installing the Quickplay Buttons driver but that didn't seem to help.

    I've got precisely the self porblem my self - very, very annoying! It may have something to do with a security update for quickplay, but I can't seem to find any info on it anywhere.

    Just to chime in, the same thing happened to me this week as well. I was just blaming it on "what has Vista done now to my system?" Glad to hear other people are having the same issue.

    Having the same problem. But this is with the TV tuner remote control. In the beginning it worked, Now only once the program is open will it work
