    Hello,

    I recently purchased my dv6000z.
I did not want the third party softwares and so I formatted the harddisk.
I set up my own partitions.
I have lost the quicklaunch direct feature due to formatting, but I don't
    care much for that.
However, I have lost the webcam launcher application.
The one you clicked and you could see yourself.

The HP website provides Webcam driver but I can't figure out which application it used to caunch the webcam.

Kindly guide me to restore that application.

    Regards,

    Ravindra.

My webcam is displayed under My Computer.

I haven't reformatted my notebook, so I'm not sure if that would have any effect on the location of it, but it should be listed under My Computer.

For recording video, use Windows Movie Maker.

    Hope this helps.

    :)

    Hello Jon-Michael,

Yes it helped. This is the first time I am dealing with a WebCam.
I am happy to have found the launcher.

    Thanks and regards,

    Ravindra.
