Where is the crack? Why is the picture so poor? Why do you want confirmation? Why has the lcd framing been removed

There is no physical crack that I could see. I have about 30 years electronics repair background but, needless to say, doesn't include LCD displays. I removed the bezel just to have access to the rear of the display for product info. I believe the display is bad but I would just like someone who is familiar with seeing enough of these with damage to confirm it so that I don't waste my time by unnecessary parts. When it was assembled, I could manipulate/twist the display slightly and correct the picture but then it would revert back. I know the quality isn't the greatest but here are a few more which should give you a better look at it.
    Appreciate your help!

That is definitely messed up in the upper right corner. Not being an lcd expert I wouldn’t know what the problem is though. Looks to be some sort of pressure related issue.

How big is the screen? I would say backlight maybe. Most screens, especially laptops, are lit from the bottom, but some have a light on each side if the screen is large enough. Notice how the color fades as you pan across from left too right? But as stated earlier, it also seems like a pressure issue somewhere too. How does itt look when you have it out of the "frame"?

why do you need us to tell you? I sure wouldn't put up with that screen. Do us a favour and tell us how it came to look like that, if you know.

It's a 15" screen on a ZT3280US. I've had the entire frame off and the problem still shows. The crazy part is that I could twist the display slightly, when it was all assembled, and I could get it to appear normal for a second or two and then it would mess up again. After removing it from the frame, I couldn't get the problem to go away. Ihave already updated the drivers per HP support which I knew probably wasn't going to fix the problem seeing as I could physically make the problem go away at least temporarily.

Grantman, your guess is as good as mine on how it got that way. I'm a contractor so I do take it with me everywhere attached to a mobile Ram Mount so it may have been jared a little.
