What's the Lemon Law in the US regarding these laptops? I just got my laptop back from its second repair and it STILL doesn't work. Called case manager, insisted third repair was needed, box is being sent out now. Anyone know after what magic number does the law allow me to get a replacement?

If it needs a 4th repair then you have legal standing. Personally, I recommend going through 5 or 6 repairs (it costs them money, and not much time for you) before arguing for a refund. If you do that, then request a refund under the Lemon, then vendor companies might view it as "you tried to work with the company, but now it is time to call it quits."
Not to mention the more you cost to maintain the computer initially, the more likely they'll return it to save $$$. -

Bertie Bott,
I was hoping to contact you via email somehow. Your profile does not show CONTACT MEMBER listing. I am having the same issue you were having with your HP laptop. It looks like, from your other threads, they finally replaced it. My laptop is now out for the third time in 4 months. This past time I sent it out for display problems. The day I got it back from repair, I noticed by QUICK LAUNCH buttons did not work. I immediately filed a case and had to ship it out again. I basically have been without my laptop for almost 3 weeks. Now my Repair status says Escalated Third Service . If you get a chance please email me using my profile page.
I appreciate it THANKS!!!
