I have only had this computer for about a week and noticed that there is some light leakage on the right side of the screen, it actually looks like its bleeding through. It is only noticeable when the display turns off to save power as of now. This is already my second dv6tqe and the first one did not have this issue although that was the 720p screen and this is the 1080p. Im curious if this is a common problem and other 1080p screens also suffer from this. I would have expected this on the regular screen, but not the upgraded one. I have attached some pics and realize that it is not good quality since I had to take them in the dark, but you can still see it and its much more noticeable in person. Do you think I should exchange this computer or just deal with it and hope it doesnt get worse?

It is the light-up HP symbol on the back of the display. Whenever the display backlight is on you won't see it but when the display backlight is off and the symbol stays on, like it does for a little while when it turns off or when the display turns off to save power say, you see it. It really isn't a big deal.

I wish they had given us a way to turn off the HP symbol light. It's so obnoxious in a dark room...

OK, that makes sense. I was just worried that there was a problem with the screen. It would be nice if you were able to turn it off.

I like it also, I just don't like that it bleeds through my screen. Would it be possible that a future update would allow turning the light off or is that just not possible?

At first I thought it was just the backlight shining through, then I realized when the screen went off it remained on. Silly really. Seems that for one they could have used the backlight instead of using an additional light, and secondly, yeah, have a way to turn it OFF. Maybe with a BIOS update if the hardware will allow for it to be switched.
