    Hello,

I'm looking at this laptop and it is a very good looking machine with an amazing spec for the price. It's great to see high spec machines like this at a reasonable price point ~£1000.

What I was wandering is, has anyone run Linux on this model or another one in the series. I'm curious to know whether the fingerprint reader can be made to work and if suspend/resume work, the touch only media keys and the webcam etc.?

Also, can anyone comment on the build quality and potential pit falls. I'm coming from a Thinkpad background here so service and build quality are important. But it certainly looks a sturdy machine and a feature filled one at that.

    Cheers.

Edit: A separate issue but with the extended warranty, is there any time conditions on buying this aftermarket warranty from HP and does one need proof of purchase. I'm interested in the +2 year one with accidental damage cover. Sorry, this is becoming a catch-all thread.
