Hi everybody
So I got my HP dv5 1007tx on Thursday. Just got a quick question about the battery. I charged it to 100% battery then turned it off. Unplugged it overnight. Then when I turned it on the next day (About 9 hours later), the battery had worn down to about 90%. Is that a common thing amongst lithium ion batteries or is my battery faulty and should ask for a replacement?
Any help greatly appreciated
Regards

Are you sure you turned it off, or did you just put it on sleep mode? Hibernate/Shut down require no power, while Sleep mode requires minimal power at the advantage of a quick boot up. If this is not the case, then possibly since it's still a brand new battery, it hasn't been calibrated right yet. Fully charge it then run it down to 0, that might help.

He had it in Sleep mode. There isn't any other answer to this type of issue. He probably hit the power button slightly and for just a sec, sending the notebook into SLEEPY TIME! Does a little white light flash on the front left?
However, if that's not the case you need a new battery from HP. Like right now! -
