    Hi,

Ive had my current HP laptop for about 5 years and it certainly cannot run the likes of Visual Studio. Id like to do some Android and Apple device development as well.

I did consider some Macbook pros but I guess the RAM upgrade on those is a bit troublesome.

Ideally Id like to have about 16GB and run both MAC OS and Windows 7. What kind of machines can you guys recommend? Or just stick to a desktop box?

    Thanks!

    8560w or 8760w. They're fantastic machines.

8760w = 32Gb ram max, space for two hard drives and nvidia 2000m to 5010m. There's also the fantastic docking stations and extended BB09 battery. (It's not a perfect machine but it does cover what you need with extras)

Hey, thanks for that. Any ideas on whether I could install bootcamp or something similar to get Mac OS going on that machine?

    Thanks!

You could probably fudge an OSX install using Vmware (I've done it before)... But of course that's not legal and Apple would find you and flog you until you apologised :)

Haha. Is there any legal way of installing Mac OS on a laptop or does it have to be on a "Mac" based machine?

Also, is it possible to install Win 7 on Macbook pro for example?

    Cheers!

Has to be a mac :(

It is 100% possible to install Windows 7 onto a macbook but you'd have to mail in your soul to the devil
