I always come up with the most random *** problems for some reason and more often than not, someone comes up with a solution on these wonderful forums.

I ran into an issue with my hinges on my DV2500. Let's just say they were "limp." I needed a solution badly. I decided to open up the service manual and see what I could come up with- boy did I find a simple solution!

Took me about 10 minutes total, if I had to do it again it would probably take me 3 minutes.

    -----------------------------------
Taken directly from the service manual--->

Remove the following screw covers and screws:

    (1) Four rubber screw covers on the display bezel top edge.
    (2) Two rubber screw covers on the display bezel bottom edge
    (3) Four Phillips PM2.5×5.0 screws on the display bezel top edge
    (4) Two Phillips PM2.5×9.0 screws on the display bezel bottom edge
    (5) Flex the inside edges of the left and right sides and the top and bottom sides of the display bezel until the bezel disengages from the display enclosure.

OK. Now. You should be able to see the insides of your screen! Look towards the hinges, to the side of each hinge you should see two little screws right next to the hinges, they connect the hinge to the display unit itself. TIGHTEN THEM! DONE!

Note: Calibrate them properly, do not just tighten them to hell and back, you want to still be able to move your screen a bit! :p Try opening and closing your screen a little until you have the perfect amount of resistance.

Make sure you keep track of the SIX screws and the SIX plastic covers. Other than that, there is very minimal risk whatsoever and right now, my screen is anything but "limp." :p Oh, and you cannot tell at all that she went under the knife! :D

Hopefully someone will find this helpful... give something back to this great community.
