Usually if I go out for a bit, I close the lid on my laptop, therefore going into a hibernation. When I return, my computer loses connectivity and I have to restart the computer to reconnect to the internet.
- I'm on windows vista
- I'm on a wired connection (NOT wireless.)
- Model is dv6565ca (with the 4965 intel card I think)
Thanks in advance for the help,
Jason

what happens when you try to connect after hibernation?
-
Check the power management setting for the network adapter.
Control Panel\Network and Internet\Network Connections-right click on your adapter/properties>power management tab
Under the Power Management tab, check the box that turns off the adapter when power saving kicks in.

Try going into network connections, right click over the connection and select 'repair'
Equivelent to a dos prompt ipconfig /renew
