Hi everyone
I'm listening to music and videos on my laptop with headphones. And the problem is the volume is too low. Even at max volume I can barely hear any sound through my headphones. HP Pavilion G series.
Help!

What version of the IDT High Definition Audio driver are you currently using? Also, what is the exact model of your notebook? A BIOS update may be available, and can potentially fix the problem.

Model HP G60t-600 Notebook PC
And it looks like I've got two audio drivers.
Conexant Pebble High Definition SmartAudio version 4.98.60.50
and
Intel High Definition Audio HDMI version 6.10.1.2077 -
Ah, so you are using a Conexant chipset instead of an IDT-based audio chipset.
The first thing you can try to do is update the BIOS if it is not already updated.
Version: F.65
HP Notebook System BIOS Update (Intel Processors) HP G60t-600 CTO Notebook PC - HP Customer Care (United States - English)
If the problem persists, then it might be possible to find a newer driver online (from Microsoft Update, which is one source). -
You could do this or get a program named mp3 gain It will boost the volume of the songs you have, if thats what you are listening to with low volume
Low headphone volume
