    I was reading information about my graphics card, its an GeForce 8400M GS with 128 dedicated ram.

    Although, check this out...
    Display adapter type NVIDIA GeForce 8400M GS
    Total available graphics memory 895 MB
    Dedicated graphics memory 128 MB
    Dedicated system memory 0 MB
    Shared system memory 767 MB
    Display adapter driver version 7.15.11.129
    Primary monitor resolution 1280x800
    DirectX version DirectX 9.0 or better

    How can i Lower the TOTAL AVAILABLE GRAPHICS Memory from 895 to around 512...

    This is A low End graphics card to begin with, so it REALLY doesnt need all that Ram (PLEASE CORRECT ME IF AM WRONG!!!).

    By the way, i have a Hp Pavalion DV6565CA with 2GB of ram...

    Could you guys tell me your advice if its really worth having sooo much memory shared... and if it aint, could you please tell me how to lower it.

    the card will automatically adjust the shared ram to how much ram is available;
    no need to worry
