    MAC OS on DV6000t?

    my friend has a dell xps m1210 and those guys have found a way to install mac OS X with all drivers and such to dual-boot.

    i was wondering if anyone has done this before? i want to be able to use mac os x but i dont like how they overcharge for it...

    Because it violates the EULA that is part of Mac OS X. You either buy a copy of Mac OS X, in which case you have a legally purchased copy at least, but one that is only authorized to be installed on Apple hardware, or you pirate it, in which case you are pirating the software, and probably doing other things as well.

    Apple as a company depends on selling the hardware as well; at the very least they depend on selling software as well - the large bulk of people running OS X on PC's generally aren't even buying the software, but rather downloading pirated and hacked up distributions.

    I would say you would have a much better bet just installing Ubuntu; that is perfectly legal and acceptable, and you would get a nice alternative to Windows as well.

    If you really want to run OS X, your best bet is to get an actual Mac laptop.

    It's doable, but illegal because Apple only allows its OS on Mac computers.

    If you want to learn more, look elsewhere.
