    Maintenance and Service Guide for V2000Z

    I'm wondering if anyone has had success finding a maintenance and service guide for the Presario V2000Z. Their web site only lists a guide for the V2000 (which is the Intel model), but doesn't list one for the V2000Z (AMD model).

    I just got off live-chat with a support rep after argueing for an hour to them that no, my model is not a V2600 (core dou), and no, the support document for the v2000 is not compatible with a v2000z since the Intel and AMD models are built on completely different platforms. It would be tough cramming a P-M into a s754...

    I think the screw guides are the same since they appear to use the same chassis, but it would be nice to have a complete guide for my particular model (V2000Z) that I can trust. Can anyone help me out?

    Yeah, they only release one service guide. The chassis is the same, so once you open it up there shouldnt be any problems in replacing a Skt 754 processor. It wont be too different from the Intel sockets.

    IF you want a service guide for the AMD notebook take the one for LiveStrong L2000. This is exactly the same notebook, even the BIOS detects it as v2000z.
