I recently purchased a dv2500 Pavillion, and the quicklaunch buttons located above the F keys are quite cool, but relatively useless. The volume changer can be quite nice, but I've found the pause, play, skip, and stop buttons to be relatively redundant. If I'm running iTunes and am in Firefox, it would be useful to pause the song or skip ahead to another one without having to change back to iTunes, but the buttons don't work unless you have the program running in the active window. Why would I bother switching programs, and then using the quick launch buttons when I can just use my mouse to press the pause button or use a keyboard shortcut?

I've been looking for some way to toggle the settings on the buttons but have made no progress whatsoever. Does anyone have any recommendations?

Thanks! That worked perfectly. Now if only I could change the Quickplay launcher button into something useful...
