I'm about to [finally] do a clean install of windows 7, and I was wondering if there are other ways to access the F11 recovery partition afterwards?

I've read a thread suggesting booting directly to the recovery partition, but it was from 2008 and the user never reported back on it if it worked. I also didn't see any other accounts of doing it like that.

Is there any live cd that can boot directly to the recovery partition? I'm NOT buying an hp recovery cd, and the cd I made with recovery media creation somehow won't get accepted by my DM4. I've made a full disk image backup of a minimized image recovery, but I just want another layer of defense.
