My Matsh-ita("s h i t" seems to be screened by the forum") UJ-851S dvd-ram of the dv6244us notebook had trouble reading cd/dvd.

Sometimes, it reads normal but most of the time, all the disc contents will be "track00".
The disc will show as an "Audio CD" in windows explorer.

It also has problems writing cd/dvds.
The burning completes but during verification, every sector seems to be different from the source.

    My computer specs are:
    core 2 duo T5200 1.6 ghz
    1 GB Ram
    Windows XP pro SP2

My notebook is still under warranty, can the drive be replaced?

I remember that the "Matshi-ta" problem was fixed long ago, but i can't find the thread detailing it. You may want to PM a moderator for the word fix.
