Can someone please explain what Max Battery does? For instance does it reduce CPU and hard drive speed? When the laptop (L2005) runs on A/C the power schemes do not apply, correct?

It reduces the cpu speed to 800MHz and will probably set the screen, hard disk to turn off after a short period of inactivity. There is no way to reduce the speed of the hard drive. It is what it is, you can turn it off but cannot slow it down.

It will apply to an power connection A/C or battery. I doubt that it is that smart.
