for those who own a compaq presario V30000Z what is the max battery time for a 6 cell on that laptop?

i know that HP does not offer any battery time software but if you happen to know that would help! :)

i guess the battery time depends on what tasks you will be performing while on battery.and te configuration of yor laptop.and also wather yor wireless is on and also the brightness of yor screen.
hp doesnt include a battery timer but im sure it shows the percentage available so i guess yo will be able to rougly calculate the time left
if your looking for a software that shows battery timer i recommend notebook hardware control(NHC) i guess it has the option that shows battery timer but dont expect it to be that accurate on the battery time last but my gess isnt that accurate but still deoendable and yo can get a fair idea of time left if yor intrested in downloading the software yo can dowload it here

The average life I am getting is around 2hr:30min. This with the screen at minimum brightness and the wireless on.

guess thats normal for a 6-cell its usual range is 2.5-3hrs max so the time your getting in my opinion is fair enough

    Hey twiztog43.

What type of V3000Z do you have?
    I have a V3Z 3400+Sempron, Go 6150, 1GB DDR2-533Mhz DC, Brightview, 12cell battery. I know it's not the same but I think it might help you out.
I can get ~6hrs on a full charge with brightness set 3 or 4 ticks From Brightest, Wifi on, regular browsing/light use.

Sorry to hijack. Glad to see a few more folks on board with V3Z's. Got my lappy for $488.99 AR + 1GB ram.
