    Hey guys,
I just bought a dv2400 about 2 monthes ago and I want to upgrade my memory to 4GB from 2gb. I'm running windows vista and I have a Centrino core 2 duo at 1.7GHZ. 1. can I do this on this model? 2. would it be worth it? Mainly I want to increase video performance and system response, stupid vista. Any advice would be helpful. thanks.

Cannot answer other questions but I am pretty sure the ram is not going to cahnge the performance of the GPU.

I have the same opinion as Wierd Al. You should check your system resources under load. If your RAM is mostly free under load then increasing it should not help much.

2 GB is enough for Vista, if the computer's sluggish with 2 GB, you need to optimize it. The 2,6,9000's all take up to 4 GB of RAM, but unless you're running x64, you won't be able to utilize all of it.

your BIOS will read the 4GB RAM but Vista/XP (32-bit/64-bit) will only see 3GB. Its not the OS limitation but the mobile motherboard chipset limitation.

I have 4GB and seriously speaking its just not worth the extra RAM. 2GB is more than enough for smooth and fast response.
